TRANSACTION ADVISORY SERVICES FOR PUBLIC SPACE MONETISATION WITHIN ONE OF THE GCC HISTORICAL DISTRICT
The nucleus of this project centred on providing transaction advisory services for public space monetisation within a historical district in the GCC region. The overriding objective was to maximise the revenue collected from future commercial assets, fostering self-sustainability for the historical district. The project was unique in its blend of economic objectives within a culturally and historically significant context.
The project identified six principal revenue streams: naming rights, advertising, telecom and Wi-Fi, smart retail, sponsorship, and other commercial drivers. Each of these revenue sources required an intricate understanding of the local market dynamics, regulatory restrictions, and the potential impact on the historical district’s cultural fabric.
Our approach to naming rights focused on securing partnerships with reputable entities that aligned with the district’s cultural heritage. Advertising strategies were carefully curated to ensure the district’s aesthetic integrity while maximising visibility. Smart retail solutions were proposed to enhance visitor experiences and commercial activity in the district. Sponsorship opportunities were explored with corporations and businesses who wished to associate their brands with the district’s prestigious reputation. Lastly, we also identified other commercial drivers, such as special events, and pop-up markets, to further monetise the district.
